Dress For Success

You might be a little surprised to hear this. Did you know that the Scripture tells you exactly how to … “Dress for Success”?

Let’s go ‘shopping’ in the Scripture Store to make sure that we are properly attired.

They post signs there with Scriptures telling you exactly what you should wear.

 For Example:

Colossians 3:12–14 says to:

 “Clothe yourself” or “put on” a:

Heart full of compassion

Kindness

Humility

Gentleness

Patience. 

And more than anything else, to

Put on Love!

The virtue that (pulls the whole outfit together) in perfect unity.

Ephesians 6:13-18 advises you to:

Put on the belt of truth

The breastplate of righteousness

Take up the shield of faith 

The helmet of salvation 

And the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And from the Shoe Department:

To have your feet shod with the Gospel of Peace.

From James 1:23:

They have a mirror at the dressing room. You will need to check your appearance before you venture out.

From Galatians 5:22 They offer complementary “fruit baskets” to every Patron.

Every basket is filled with the fruit of the Spirit:

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

And Finally… You won’t be able to attend the Wedding Banquet without the garments from Isaiah 61:10:

He has “clothed” me with the garments of salvation. And He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.
