One Way Only – Just As Diagrammed

There is something that has always puzzled me about Christians.

Myself, included.

Why do we get upset or start to question our Faith, when we don't get the answer to prayer that we want?

 Questioning God is an issue that goes back to the Garden of Eden.

When we came to Christ, we decided to follow God’s way instead of our own.

 Or, did we?

If we did, why would we ever question the Only One whose will is always perfect?

And why would we even want our will anymore?  It was following our own will, that showed us our need for Christ.

And when we do get what we pray for, why are we – suddenly – so grateful?  Isn't a closed door just as much guidance as an open door is?

If we really do want the Lord's will, wouldn't we be just as grateful when we don't get what we want?

 Now that we have spent some time questioning ourselves, instead of God - 

It seems to me that we have come full circle.

 Back to what the Bible told us before we did any of this wrestling:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

As for God, His Way is perfect Psalm 18:30 KJV
