It is crazy.
Its something between Old Maid and Charades. A strange amalgam that offers confusion and chaos.
You know, It strange when you come into the situation with everyone understanding the stakes. Its even odder when they know your heart. And they did.
The air was filled with screeches and exclamations as everyone seemed to scream in one accord. The roar was deafening as each voice strained to overcome the person before. The cacophony was over powering.
It was really quite simple. My card said that I was a vampire. I attempted to clue others in to the fact to find my match. But no one seemed to have that card. So we all continued in our pursuits to find our matches. We all cackled as Micheal tackled Missy to the ground when he tried to show her and all of us that his card said that he was a dog. She toppled like a tree falling in the forest. And no, no one even heard her.
And then it happened. I heard him, you know that one person that you think seems to make your heart stop. “I vant to suck your blood.” He bellowed.
It was my chance. I knew. Now I needed a plan. I needed to get his attention, and I needed to let him know that I was the other vampire. Simple enough really. Right? Wrong!
“Brad!” I screeched in a voice more valley girl than anything as the entire room fell eerily silent. “I want to suck your blood!” There was a moment of silence as everyone digested my words, and then the laughter began. The room erupted into peals of laughter as he and I stood in awkward silence staring at no one, seemingly mesmerized by the pattern of the hard wood floor. Across from me, Kody, who had been privy to far too many details, collapsed on the ground, his body shaking with barely contained laughter. Tears were forming in eyes of all but the two of us as the laughter continued.
For once we were unified, however it was in humiliation.
So I don't suggest it as a game.
Unless you are looking forward to total humiliation, but maybe that is just me.
Maybe this warped games of charades wouldn't be as traumatic for anyone else.
But it was that day.
Trust me.
