This is just beautiful. You speak the truth in such a lovely and eloquent way. This was a delightful read and I could see it comforting many people who have lost a loved one too soon.

Many thoughts to ponder. A great message clearly spelled out in impressive rhyme. Nice.
Your poem is profound and surely a comfort to all who consider life to be too fleeting. Your last line sums it up beautifully.

A short, sweet challenge that reflects Abraham's covenant - to be blessed in order to be a blessing.

I LOVED this poem, both for its lyrical, smoothly-flowing style and for its insightful, profound message! It is a favorite of mine this week, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to find it in the top ten! These last two stanzas really blessed me:

"A life may last a hundred years
But never know delight
Another life a hundred days
Yet burns with passion bright

It matters not the number of
The minutes men possess
Men are measured not by years
But by the lives they bless"

Excellent job with this perfectly-on-topic piece! :)

This is a lovely poem with a great message. These lines are very sad ones:
'A life may last a hundred years
But never know delight'. Hopefully few people experience such a dire life. Your message is overall positive and challenging. Thanks.

Your words are beautiful, gorgeous actually. Wow! Though sad, I love the sound of this phrase, "hollow hungry years." Congratulations, Melanie, on your Editor's Choice award.
I enjoyed this poem better than any in this area of writing -- well done!
