Topic: Control (01/30/06)
I asked our Savior recently, to reveal to me, why I have such trouble dying to my flesh, and completely surrendering all cares to Him at his altar, and then leave them there for Him to take care of. Instead, I keep giving them to Him, then taking them back, then giving them to Him, then taking them back, so on, and so forth. He is such a faithful God. He answered my question alright, although my answer is a painful reality, I had to face about myself. The truth is, the reason why I have such trouble dying to myself daily, is because I like to be in control.

Ouch! Yes, its embarassing to admit, but its so true. Even though we know, He knows better then we do, how to handle every detail of our lives, we still at times, choose to do it our own way. We are such backseat drivers, aren'tn we? The reason I use this analogy is because even though the backseat driver is doing all the talking and navigating, the front seat driver, still has the wheel! Do you know what I am getting at? Even though we try to direct our lives in the direction we desire it to go, God is still in control, and in the end, He will still have the final say. We might as well, then, sit back and enjoy the journey, we would have a much better experience on this ride called life. Don't you agree?

Besides,there is such a horrible view from where we are standing anyway. A backseat driver certainly can't spot trouble ahead, as accurate as the one behind the driver's wheel.

Let us allow Him to do all the driving, trust He knows what He is doing, and how to get where He wants to take you. In the meantime, there is so much He wants to point out to you along the way. You are going to miss it my friends, if you forget what hat you wear, on the journey. Remember, He is the leader, you are the follower. Let Him lead, and He will show you a lot of cool stuff along the way.

Be willing to have eyes to see and ears to hear. I believe if you heed to this wisdom, I received from God, you will have a much pleasurable life. Let Him be in control, He is going to be anyway, but when we don't fight Him on this, we have more peace in our lives.

Remember, its for our own good, that He is in control. He loves us way too much to let us take the wheel. We are His precious children, and He is a very careful driver. So let HIM have the wheel all by himself, meaning, let Him lead the way on your spiritual walk and journey called life. Enjoy the journey, leave the driving up to Him. God Bless

I remember times sitting in the passenger seat, stomping on breaks..LOL. That sure didn't do any good either! Good analagy, and enjoyed reading your examples. God bless ya, littlelight

A good analogy. Work on punctuation, and this little gem will polish up nicely.
