As I think of what's to come
The morning looms like a shadow
I walk the valley path
With tentative anxious steps
Afraid to move into tomorrow
Will I have the strength
Or will I flag before the door?
I can't do this anymore

I admit my helplessness
That's the first step, you have written on my list
I could never save myself
You're my shepherd, so I'll cling to you for help
I'm not ready to stand yet; carry me
When I'm away I'm confident
There's nothing standing in my way
I am capable of lifting this
I return to the rift

I feel the weight begin to press
Can I tell the truth
That lovely words are known to hide?
In a moment I decide
