I am the Comforter
I am the source
Of peace and joy...
I am here for you --
I was here before --
You knew
The life you know today...
So --
When times are hard
And darkness
Seeks your soul
Always remember
I am the LIGHT --
The source
Of all that was ever
Foretold...
I am the Comforter
I am your friend --
I was at the beginning
And I will be with you
At the end...

Juanita - I will ask you the same question as I have to writers of other poems - doesn't the 150 word rule for this challenge apply to poems? Do you feel it would have ruined it to make it longer than 79 words? Don't get me wrong - I liked the poem - I am just wondering out loud.

Another lovely poem Juanita, rounded out beautifully at the end. Do have to agree with Gary though about the minimum word limit. Other than that though, it was quite lovely. With love, Deb

I sent a note of thanks to Gary and Deb. I appreciate the fact that they pointed out an oops! that I made. In fairness to all I should have entered the minimum of 150 words as is the requirement. It was an oversight on my behalf, and I needed to make correction and will follow this guideline in the future. I appreciate faithwriters.com. It is such a wonderful medium for writers, and I love being a part of such a lovely community of writers. I will say that I should be able to correct this very easily, since most people who know me well would say that I am never at a loss for words. I do so very much appreciate Gary and Deb's helping me to correct something that is certainly for the benefit of all. Thanks...Juanita Pittman-Brown
