Know His Light ( A Mother's Prayer)

Here I am
watching
you grow
from a
babe in
my arms
to a
girl
filled
with
charms.
I stand
here
praying
that your
days are
peaceful
and filled
with
sunshine
and cheer
when I am
no longer
here.
My
heartfelt
wish is
known by
our Lord
in whom
I trust.
His
existence
makes all
things
bright
and I
pray
that you
too will
know
His
light.

This poem is warm and loving as well as beautiful...I enjoyed it very much...The flow of your words paint a lovely design of love...
We are all connected and experience much the same; but we respond differently, and loving verse is one of the best of responses...I loved your form also...Juanita Pittman-Brown

The linier arrangement is beautiful. It paces the flow of the poem.

The words flowed from my heart as I thought of my children and how I want them to know the Light of Jesus.
May God bless all of you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Peace, Julie

Julie - I agree with the other comments - a lovely prayer. I just wonder about the 150 word rule for the challenge. (You have 67 words) Should you mess with this little beauty and make it longer to fit the guidelines of the challenge? You probably wrestled with that question too.

Hi Gary,

This piece flowed from my heart and soul . Thank you for sharing your very kind words and I pray the editors at Faithwriters will make an exception to the word count. Peace always, Julie Pisacane
