Topic: Question (05/24/12)
Who wise-in-their-own-eyes walking, with
Haughty heads held horrendously high and
Overbearing, dare order this orphan about?

What witches wield such weighty wands, to
Haunt her hapless head? Such hindrance!
Are all their arguments in agreement,
Tied to two, three tangible witnesses?

When will the wary wench, badly wanting
Her own house, holding in her own hands
Entwined each essential element of escape,
Notice the good news so near her nose?

Wherefore wallows she in wistful waters,
Harassed, helpless, hoping for a husband,
Eating up energy bars, eager to escape the
Rat race relegating her to this ragged grind,
Encircled by slick emblems of ignoble error?

How it hurts to behold her so hampered, I who
Overcame all to pay for every debt she ever owed
Wounded, I won the war to wipe away sin's wages

. (as far as east is from west, period)


Why then wanders she to winsome wishing wells,
Hiding, back hunched, from hulking horrors?
Young lady, why must you always yield a "yes" to

Not-so-nice "nurturing"? Why not insert a "no"?
Out with old opinions. Obtain other options, okay?
Too timid to take those tit-for-tatters to task?

Suicide's no solution, but I value sincere queries.
I am in all issues infinitely intelligent; Include
My mind and outmaneuver their mischievous maze!
Politely posing as their personal pawn is poisonous.
Let my love elucidate your longings, will you not?
You yearn to yell, to yodel. Yet I never hear you

Act adventurously. You ask not for answers. Instead you
Sit soaked in suds, sobbing, "He's sovereign, so be it."
Knowledge holds the key to conquering your conundrum.

My mercy can melt your miserable mentality. Dare you
Elicit from me an answer to your every question

Nancy this is incredible. I think I 'get' it at a certain level, but I would love to read this with 'study notes' as part of a discussion; to delve down below the top soil of your meanings and really grasp what your thoughts were when you wrote this. (I hope this comes across as a positive comment; it is certainly intended to be!).
