dotted with twinkling constellations. A sliver of the moon cast its glow upon the lake
water situated between the forest deep. Its light penetrated the invading shadows found
amongst the lumbering trees.
Quietness hung thick in the air as humanity slept. She was alone with Him. She sat
upon a massive boulder and breathed the coolness of the night.
Then, as if her presence was recognized, an orchestra of beautiful music began to play in
the outdoor cathedral. Crickets rubbed their wings like a solo violinist and night owls
joined in as they trumpeted their praise. Bullfrogs began to drone a foundation of
deepness, and fish jumped from the water's depths to add a cymbal of splashing water.
The effect rippled toward the shore's edge like an arpeggio played by the experienced
hands of a pianist. A flutter of sound was set in motion by the wind as it propelled fallen
leaves across the earthen plod and swayed the trees into a ballet of theatrics.
Clouds shifted the moon's luminous display and hid the stars. The curtain of darkness
lifted as a crack of lightening pierced the firmament and unveiled the secrets of the night.
A low rumble reverberated from beneath and the rain began to cleanse God's creation.
She stood and lifted her hands toward Him. Exaltations of psalms flowed from her soul
as she joined the orchestra of praise.
"For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
…Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
…Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
Tremble before Him all the earth.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
…Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord."
Her eyes brimmed with tears as she stood in awe of Him.
She whispered, "Oh Elohim…You are beautiful."
