Topic: CHILL (10/29/15)
Chill.

In the Gospel of John chapter 8 verse 7. After Jesus said that he who had no sin. Let him be the first to cast a stone. Of course there was not one among them who had no sin.

They were ready to stone this woman to death. But when met with this challenge from Jesus there must have been a chill in their hearts. As Jesus said in Mark 7. verse 21. For from within, out of the hearts of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fortifications and murders.

These men had been stopped from stoning a woman who they most likely had sinned with. Notice there is no mention of the man or men that was with this woman. There was Jesus, who they would know that he knew their thought and actions. Jesus was not condemning her and just saying go and sin no more.

These men were outraged at what had happened, but could not say a thing. They had been caught out well and proper and they knew it. The thoughts they had about Jesus must have been chilling. This was another example of the way Jesus was. He loved and provided a way out for the sinner. But not for the accuser.

One of the reasons that there are so many churches empty today is that they have refused to follow the example of Jesus. Too many fingers have been pointed and accusations made. The world has looked on and stayed away. Women who had a one to one encounter with Jesus were completely changed and became what they were meant to be, Ladies or if you like handmaidens.

Seems some of us men could do with more of the same. Glory to God.

Yes, take the log out of our eye before we try to take the speck out of some other person's eye.

Read it slowly one more time and see if you can find any changes you would like to make.

There were many reminders in this piece of changing ourselves before judging others.

I would have used some showing in the opening paragraph to grab the reader's attention such as, My eyes,were fixed on the sinner. I stood ready to hurl the jagged rock at the adulterous woman.
