I was born, and I will die.
What I do between, the secret doth lie.
Have I done the good or the bad?
Has my life been happy or sad?
Did I go about for myself
And others leave on a shelf
Did I give good advice
Or not care, didn’t think twice
Had my youth and didn’t use
What God had given me, did I lose ?
Could go any where, see all things
The tales and adventures did I bring.
Now I am old and infirm
They don’t care what I affirm.
They are carefree and loose
Never thinking what I choose
I am tied to the building or house
Not able to romp and play or arouse.
No one has time to talk or listen
While I long for the company so distant
All say, ”don’t get up you might fall”.
Lonely deserted by one and all
Left to dream of the time gone by
When I could romp and play.
Does my brain sizzle with hate
Or still love before it’s too late?
I once had time to do what’s right
Now it seems to be dark as night
See what you do with time as you should
Will it be worthwhile, will it be good?
Will others be blessed as you are seen?
Before eternity takes that time in between.

Excellent job...I saw a story unfold before my eyes as I read this. Having worked in a nursing home for years, I was quite accustomed to the patients doing "life reviews" as they aged in place. This reminded me of that...it touched my heart, and brought a tear to my eye.
Phenomenal! God bless~
