Bringing to focus of things far away
Little green bushes I saw in a garden before
Became table benches behind a store
Seeing a new view from a tall building above
Became amused with things down below
Observing things that was once something else
A car was a vendor, a light was just a pole
A young man came out from a subway station
Head turning left and right
He looked up to the skyscrapers and wondered
The view from there must be great
And remember the first interview here
My hands folded, my eyes shut
A necessary change was what I prayed and
A good witness I will be for You in this place
There were days long and hard but
Months turn to years, years turn to decade
Repeating the same old blessing everyday
What was once sweet has lost in taste
Mind became near sighted and attitudes unyielding
Completing only daily schedule, making ends meet
Eyes turned to look only at tasks in front
Blurring the promise that I have made
What can be produced away from the vine
Efforts became vain, work unsatisfied
Something was out of focus, something forgotten
Your Spirit urged me to stop and search what was wrong inside
Then I remember this was your gift to me
It was your provision when I was in need
Refocusing my eyes to You who sit above
Thankful again, the source of my blessings
