Mingling in a crowd
Acquaintances many, friends few
Voices, loud music, noise all around
Alone, surrounded and . . . alone.
I see deep inside, spirit and soul
The mess, confusion, the yearning
I long to clean, clear and comfort.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock!
Weekly work, endless errands,
Temporary satisfaction, desperate daily.
Time is tick ticking, ticking away
Alone, busy and . . .alone
I understand you completely
I know the excuses behind which you hide
I want to be there, with you.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock!
Tripping, falling, lack of control
Veneer shows no need for help, inside shrieking
Clutching, clinging for one more day
Alone, empty and alone!
Don’t keep me on the outside
Invite me in, ask and you shall receive.
Trust me to love you and cherish you
Always and forever, never alone!
Behold. I stand at the door and knock,
I am here, waiting . . . .
Answer my call beloved!
