They say that it is possible –
So I have heard it tell –
That if you were to navigate
The deepest, darkest well,
And stand right at the bottom
In the middle of the day
As you looked up you’d see the stars
Shining in bright array.
How does this work I wonder?
(Science never was ‘my thing’! )
But whatever is the reason
This truth’s unaltering:
That, even in the dark times,
When all around is black
If eyes are fixed on Christ alone,
His Light always shines back.

I love your poem. It has brought out thoughts that are new. Who knew that about being in a dark well--and who would WANT to be??? (I get claustrophobia just thinking about it!) But your lesson is so well brought out--the omnipresence of God...Keep writing. This was great...Helen
