LEN'S LINES --- A Little Religion On A Positive Note By Len Granger
What is a Woman?
All my life I have been told to treat women with respect and honor. Scripture speaks of the wife as the "weaker vessel" and as such deserving special protection and care. We read in 1Peter 3:7....."Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered."
Husbands are to serve the Lord as head of the household and set an example of love and godliness. Before making major decisions, we should come together and pray to our gracious and loving Lord Jesus Christ for His guidance and direction.
Man may be the head but we all know that it is the neck that
moves the head, so would be wise to know our God-given place.
Our Lord spoke to His disciples when Mary anointed Him for burial, in Mark 14: 3-9. Luke 12: 2-8 and Matthew 26: 13
" Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told as a memorial of her".
Yes. women are sometimes or should I say always hard for men to understand and this poem seems to explain things from a woman's view. The poet was called home to be with the Lord before her book of Poems could be published, according to her son a church member in our country church.
What Is A Woman?
She is flesh and bone from Adam's rib, Well she is just the opposite of men.
What Is A Woman? She is man's helpmate God saw to that, She is short and tall, skinny and fat.
She is crying one minute and laughing the next. and faster than man with a quick reflex.
What is a Woman?
She is a jack of all trades and right on the scene, but give her some lipstick and she is an artist's dream.
What is a Woman?
Everyone knows --- Nobody knows --
But she is the Mother of all and the Originator of sin --
Yet with all of her faults; she is still loved by men.
( Author Clair Baker )
Remember, the Bible tells us. " For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman. but all things of God". Happy Mother's Day.
Let us all worship and sing praises to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the church of our choice this Sunday.
God Bless America
