No color went to waste.
Examples of His artistry
Are evident to trace.
I think blue was His favorite—
He painted it so much.
Day after day, earth’s canopy
Reveals His blessed touch
Of varied shadings hour by hour
Until the day is o’er:
Cerulean and periwinkle,
With azure hues and more.
He fashioned in plump clouds of white
To drift around with ease,
Adornments made of varied shapes
As sun’s accessories.
For sunrise and for sunset scenes,
He blended views chromatic
Of pinks and purples, golds and grays,
With oranges dramatic.
God must have had a love for green.
He spread it on the ground,
As well as on the leaves of trees
Till autumn tints abound.
He also daubed in tones of brown
For soils and savage herds
And lavished colors tropical
On flowers and the birds.
God splashed His colors lavishly
With plenty left to spare,
And yet, He never wasted one—
He used them all with care.
