With reds and blues
Yellows and greens
But the light I seek is above all these
It's the light at the end of this tunnel
I’ve been in tunnels now and again
So many doors
From the world of men
lead straight to the darkest halls of hell
With no light at the end of the tunnel
The journey is painful to say the least
Accepting the loss
or hurt or grief
The only way out; crawling on knees
’Til you see light at the end of the tunnel
It takes humility to feel your way
Through deep darkness
Over broken clay
But there is One who can lead the way
To the light at the end of the tunnel
He’s been to the deepest of tunnels I know
Thrown to the depths
Left all alone
He died on a cross so we can find
The light at the end of each tunnel
I cling to His promise; I’m not alone
Here in the dark
Under this load
Nothing can keep me from holding His hand
I’ll see the light at the end of this tunnel
So I will wait here patiently
Bowing my head
Bending my knee
Waiting on Him to lead the way
To the light at the end of this tunnel
