The religious song, " Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow" gives encouragement to both Christians and people wondering what being a Christian is all about. We read in the Bible, God's Word, Proverbs 27:1, " Boast not thyself of to morrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."

Our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the only one who knows what tomorrow will bring in our life here on the earth. It is he that has the roadmap for our life and sets the timetable according to his will. However knowing the Living Lord as our Savior, we put aside our daily worries and pray to him for the blessings we need. Whatever our labors or burdens that are giving us concern, we have a heavenly friend that will help us. He tells us in Matthew 11:28-30. " Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

The Son of God came to this world to save it. He was as a lamb sacrificed for us, was buried, and he rose again on the third day, as the scripture says. Today, he sits at the right hand of his Father God. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit as our comforter here on the earth until he returns. When we pray to Jesus he hears our prayers and if it is God's will, heavenly blessings are often showered upon us.

I pray it will not take an earthquake or another major type disaster, before those among us, that are putting off accepting the Lord as their Savior, realize they have very little control over their life and the every day happenings. I pray soon they will sing with us, " Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow."

I could see some relationship to the topic, but I thought it could have been brought out more clearly. All that you said was certainly true. I just would have liked start to be a little clearer.

That is my favorite hymn. I remember the first time I heard it. I had to sit down because I was overcome with emotion. I wasn't sure I saw a strong showing of the topic, although I could see you touching on it. I'd have loved for you to go even further and maybe explain why this song speaks to you, sharing an event where it really hit home. It is a nice devotional. You back up your message with Scripture and give the reader something to think over. Good job.

I think about the many whom I have heard say, "I don't know how I would face this without the Lord". Facing tomorrow can be daunting. You have reminded us of our reassurances in the word, which is encouraging. In a devotional, I'm a lover of personal anecdote to apply the truth. Have you considered trying this?
