G.G. came awhile later after Winnie passed over Rainbow Bridge. 7 pounds of blue black beauty, he rescued her from a breeder who was about to throw her away after she had given litter after litter to be sold for profit. Tired little 8 year old girl was always shy and timid, never knew life outside a locked cage, even fearful the first time she stood on grass. Her bark had been removed, she was going blind and couldn’t hear very well either. But, he gave her another 6 years of love and comfort, cradling her, walking her and eventually pushing her in a baby buggy when she could no longer make the journey on her own.
Now he has Pawly, a 4 year old beauty he rescued from a shelter when he was a year old. Pawly had run away, found trotting down the busy street in a residential neighborhood. Visiting some local pet merchants one weekend, he and his wife just happened to come along at the right time. Pawly had just been brought in so he had to wait 10 days to make sure the previous owner wasn’t searching for him. What a beauty with big liquid brown eyes and adorable little tan colored eyebrows and a flowing black and white coat that ended with that signature curly Pomeranian tail. He is an unusual mixture of Pomeranian and Sheltie and can run faster than the wind. Boy does he love his daddy as they snuggle in their favorite recliner chair.
Pawly was a handful at first, hadn’t been housebroken, had a yet undiscovered digestive issue and ran too fast to catch the first day in his new home. That was a scary moment but apparent that no one could keep up with him if he didn’t want them to. His wife sat on the driveway and waited with pounding heart as she hoped Pawly would come back to her. He did. She locked him in a huge embrace as she scolded him for giving her such a scare. He promised to never do it again.
