It was still quite dark, but the promise of daylight was rising, and photos of this moment were captured, I always love the way God shows off His wonderful Creation just for our pleasure.
As is often the case, God was about to teach me another lesson from His beauty all around me. As watched the show of sunrise emerging from behind the clouds, the sun’s rays captured multiple colours through the gradually awakening day.
God was revealing to me that there is always colour to be found in darkness. Darkness has a way of blocking out light – causing us to see things from a different viewpoint –making life seem unbearable at times.
But, as sunlight starts to glimmer from behind the clouds, it often creates the most beautiful colours – even in the darkness of despair. We may need to look with eyes that are willing to see – it’s a bit like putting on sunglasses with a polaroid tint, they make colours look so much brighter – I call them my ‘feel-good’ lenses. They change the way we see things, putting a different light on the world around us.
1 John:5 says 'God is light, in Him there is no darkness at all.'
Trust Him in the shadows of life, and ask Him to show you the kaleidoscope of colours to be seen in the darkness. They are there, and He will show you.
Colours in darkness may appear as kindness or care shown to you, a smile from a stranger, a glimpse of eternity through an everyday moment, maybe a rise in faith to believe for the impossible. Hope for the future.
The darkness is temporary, it will pass, and one day, when this world is rolled away, a bright new morning awaits us in Jesus. But until the dawn of that glorious day, we have His light to brighten our way. Look up, search for the colours, even when life seems so hard.
God wants to bring colour into your days. Trust Him, He will.

Your first paragraph too was compelling. Engaged me right from the start.
It could use more editing though. Probably type in a word document and copy the whole text directly to paste here.
Thank you.
