How wonderful it would be to rest In peace.

Confident in choices.

Speaking only when necessary.

Lifting up others instead of casting blame and

Tearing down our brothers.



Mothers with mercy over spilled milk.

Fathers teaching their sons to be Mighty Men of God.

Children who know who they are in Christ.



Longing for all God has to offer;

But caught up in a world that hungers

After material possessions and status.



No time to be still and listen.

Longing for what should be instant.

Prideful boasting.

Decisions made in fear.



If only we could hear the sweet sound of grace.

That power from within that raised Jesus from the dead.

A mighty gift from our Father.

That still small voice inside

Gently striving to be our guide.

I thought that your poem was beautiful! And the words are so true. How wonderful it would be to rest in peace - confident in choices!And only longing for all that God has to offer - as opposed to being tempted and blinded by the false glitz of the world. Thank you.

Each group of lines could contain a main idea or thought that would lead to the desired conclusion. Each group of sentences could contain either three or four lines to give unity of looks.

Winning a race starts out by taking that first step and that you have done.
