I am an ordained pastor of a Russian Jewish congregation in Sydney Australia. Not being halachically Jewish nor being able to speak Russian brilliantly, that brings my calling out of the abstract into the impossible, and achievable only by the grace of God. But the other earthly secret behind all this is a wife of twenty years who is called together with me, who is an excellent Russian speaker, an interpreter and who fits me like a glove (maybe I am the glove for her left hand and she is the glove for my right). I have lived in Australia all of my life. That makes me very spoilt, like most Aussies, and might go some way towards explaining the strange sense of humour at times (and the way I spell 'humour').
