THE CROSS.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1: 17.
The cross of Jesus Christ is a place of his eternal victory over satan, sin and deception for all eternity. The preaching of the cross, the scripture says, is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. John 3:16- for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. He that believed on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believeth on the name of the only begotten son of God. John the Baptist said he that believeth on the son hath everlasting life: he that believeth not the son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. God hates sin and his wrath toward sin remains upon you because you’re abiding in sin.
The cross is the power of God in full display. The cross is the display of God’s love for humanity, you and me alike. It shows the love that Jesus Christ the son of God has for you and for me, for the world. He laid down his life, seeing mankind’s fallen position, living in the clutches of sin, darkness, sickness and poverty, gave his own life as the propitiation for our sins. At the cross the curse of sin, sickness and poverty has been destroyed, that the blessing might come upon you who believe as you hear and receive what Christ paid for with his own blood.
The scripture says in Isaiah – He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, he was chastised for our peace and with his stripes we are healed. The scriptures also say in Corinthians 8:9 that Christ became poor that we can be made rich through his poverty. He was beaten, scourged, like no one else, but with his body scourged, beaten, drenched with blood, do you know what was on his mind? Your faces, your hearts full of joy that he took away our sin forever, our sins are never to be remembered against us. My brother, my sister, your Bible says – because of the JOY SET BEFORE HIM CHRIST ENDURED THE CROSS. HALLELUIAH. When he was nailed upon that old rugged cross in shame, he saw your face, he saw you purged of all sin, he saw you pure, clean, and holy reigning with him in our Father’s precious kingdom oh can you get happy about that. What a Joy. He saw your conscience clear, your mind free, he saw you full of peace, joy and riches in his glory in him and in our Father. And in the Holy Spirit. That’s the joy halleluiah. Amen
The cross. The cross from where our salvation was sealed. The cross of Jesus Christ. Tonight, this day, this is the day of salvation, I ‘m going to ask and invite each and every one of you here to come and lay your poverty down at the foot of the cross, come lay your burdens down at the foot of the cross, come lay your sickness down at the foot of the cross,. Jesus died and rose again and is today seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is coming back soon, he died to save your souls, to set you free and give you everlasting life. All this is at open display at the cross of Jesus Christ whom I serve and who I call you to surrender your lives to this day halleluiah amen as an everlasting testimony of our savior’s love halleluiah. Jesus said, Jesus is saying come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Jesus says if any man will come after me let him deny himself pick up his cross and follow me, whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it. Come, all, come, whosoever believes in him shall receive everlasting life. Come. have a simple prayer to receive Christ as you surrender your being to him and receive the blessing of righteousness, salvation, peace, prosperity and healing in the name of Jesus.
AMEN.
