Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12 NIV

Being that God through the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, such a one will do works for the enhancement of the Kingdom, just as Jesus Christ did.

The doing of works greater than these is not I believe meant to be interpreted as at an individual level, but collectively as the body of Christ, His church. We live in a time with much technological advancement and the ability to be able to communicate with many throughout the world has never been easier than it is now. We are commissioned to share the Good News with a world which truly needs it.

All of this would not be possible though if Christ had not gone to be with the Heavenly Father. In so doing, He sends the Holy Spirit to indwell those who belong to Him. We are through Him made spiritually alive and the Truth is revealed in and through us and it is meant to be shared with others. Go out and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ!
