Not just any book but a book with substance
that will change my thinking for the better.
Give me a book,
a book that delights, engages my mind to greater possibility and potential.
Give me a book,
that fires the mind in the right direction
and teaches one to hate the evil way.
Give me a book,
that fires the mind in the right direction

Give me a book,
that might be old but full of wisdom
that helps build character and moral strength.
Give me a book,
that will guide and direct through a jungle of despair
and will encourage the feeble minded.
Give me a book,
which if read with a sober sense can not only enlighten
but bring to life the dead soul.
I've found that book,
and it is my best friend next to Jesus
God's sure written word of Truth
simple in many respects but
complex enough to confound the smartest Ph.D
That book is the Holy Bible inspired by God Himself
and the best authority by which to judge all things.
So give me this book.
because whoever finds it may find life.
