Poetry
During the early morning hours I came upon an old poem I wrote when I lived in Hollywood. It is dated August 31, 2001 which was the last year I pursued acting and began to concentrate more on serving the Lord and developing and marketeting my junk removal business.
During my hours of meditation I wrote this little poem=
Sometimes I feel sin sinking me down low
down down into hell theren there I must go.
This awful weight I cannot shake no matter what I do
The sinful food on Satan's plate I dare not eat but spew.
A wretched body of death and dung fit naught but for worms
Why do you torment me so much with all your sinful squirms?
Thou paradest thy pride like a drill instructor's stride
What race are you running pray tell?
The bell is tolling for thee o cunning canst thou escape God's hell?
Confusion of face is what I know as
Daniel confessed in his soul.
Not my works but God's sovereign grace
Can ever make me whole
And now the wind witch whispers
a cheap child's verse
"Sticks and stones may break my bones
but names will never hurt me."
A good name no but wicked the foe
who deceives with such a lie!
And sees not the curse in sin that is worse
than bad names that must cry.
