“How dare I what?”
“Talk about our president like that.”
“Like what?”
“Insulting him, calling him an idiot. He didn’t get to where he is by being an idiot.”
“Well, I think he is.”
“Do you think you could do a better job?”
“Uh— well— No, but I’m sure someone else could. And I don’t like the things he stands for either.”
“Like what?”
“Like telling a woman she shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions about her own body.”
“You mean like telling a woman it’s not okay to murder her unborn child?”
“It’s not really a child.”
“Then she’s not really pregnant.”
“Well— Uhhh— Okay, I don’t like that he let’s his faith play a part in his decision- making.”
“So, you’re saying, that if a person has a personal relationship with his creator, he should not be allowed to consult with him in prayer when making decisions?”
“Yeah.”
“So you’re saying that he shouldn’t have freedom of religion?”
“No, I’m saying he just shouldn’t let his faith get in the way of making decisions for our country.”
“If you have a true faith, it’s impossible to throw it out the window until you’ve made whatever decision is at hand. A person’s faith in God is a part of who they are. You can’t separate the two.”
“Sure you can. You just keep your religious views away from your political policies.”
“So, you’re saying he shouldn’t have freedom of religion?”
“No, I’m not.”
“Yes, you are.”
“Alright, let’s change the subject.”
“Do you think it’s wrong to kill animals for coats and medical research?”
“Yes, absolutely! It’s cruelty to animals.”
“But, you think it’s okay to kill babies?”
“No, I didn’t say that.”
“Yes, you did.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Don’t insult me!”
