Sometimes, we find ourselves living in revolving doors. We strive to reach our goals,
doing all the right things yet, we end up back where we started. It's like driving down
the road looking for the exit. We find it after driving past it. There it is. There it was.
We missed the exit to get where we were going. We may miss the chance to get out
of the revolving doors in life. We step out, then back in. We step out, then we forgot
something. We step out and it's too hard. One slip up sends us back to the revolving
door. A little voice inside then says, " Make up your mind."
A lot of things contribute to revolving doors. Making the right decisions and then turning
back. Failure to learn certain lessons before moving forward. Waiting for someone to
tell you what to do. Knowing what to do and lacking the courage to follow through.
Being victims of circumstances beyond our control. When we live our lives looking back,
we spend too much time in revolving doors. It can become a comfort zone. It can also
become an addiction. We stay in the revolving doors for so long, we no longer notice and
we enjoy it.
Jesus didn't come to give us revolving doors. He came to deliver us from them.
This happens when we realize that we've tried and need help. We've done all
we can and it failed or backfired. I know all too well the causes of revolving doors.
In conclusion, God spoke to me about it. He told me it's time to shake off the dust.
