On the origins of life, beginnings of the age;
Many theses have been proffered, complex and profound
And men have paid them honour as so brilliant and renowned.
But they’ve eliminated God from their hypotheses—
Scripture doesn’t tally with their pompous expertise;
Banished to the boondocks by their arrogance and pride
His voice suppressed and quieted while their noise is amplified.
But God observes from Heaven and derides their unbelief—
Potsherds of the earth who cast aside the Maker’s brief;
As if clay the potter works, to shape the art in mind
Might raise its head and dare to say—“unwittingly designed."
While man-made vain enigmas hold the minds of men enthralled,
Yet high on Zion’s holy hill has God His King installed;
He’s declared to mortal man in Word and cosmic deed
That He is God, the Great I Am, from whom all things proceed.
The power to reason is from God—it’s not philosophy—
God has reasoned in His Word by truth and prophecy,
Sparking growth of faith in Him, discarding every doubt—
With surety in Jesus Christ we’ve worked life’s puzzle out.
