Voice in the heart of each man,
Spoke into its existence
The artistry of His plan.
In the very beginning,
God made both heavens and earth;
Nothing existed before
But a shadowy abyss.
God ordered, “Let there be light.”
Then split black fire from white fire
Untangled the glow from gloom,
His presence from His absence.
Scene two parted the waters,
Oceans burst out from the womb
The vault of heaven opened
Wrapped in the comfort of clouds.
The grand picture unfolded,
As scene three brought foliage
The whisper of tree’s refrains
As leaves frolicked in the wind.
Scene four cast new characters,
Solar power ruled the day,
The moon and stars ruled the night
A calendar marking time.
The pacing grew in scene five,
Fish packed streams, oceans, and seas
Their gills breathed the air of life
Winged birds glided through the skies.
Scene six scripted land beasts birth,
Suspense built as God formed man,
Reflected in His image
The culminating climax.
Scene seven, a day of rest
God said, “It is very good.”
The narrative was complete
Ending the work perfectly.

I had not noticed before, that fish were the first to breathe!
One structural suggestion I would offer is that the first two verses promised rhyme and the reader began to anticipate it, but it didn't continue, which was a bit confusing.
But an enjoyable read, and I'll go back to savour some of those thoughts!
Great message.
