I think the Master Teacher would tell us, “Your are all different; therefore our fuss focus is different. What do some make a fuss over today? It probably depends on our age and our mood, doesn't it? Some of us are fussing today over:
Our homes being perfect
Our clothes stylish and smart
Our children lacking nothing
Our jobs consuming us
Our bodies' sleekness
Is it worth it? Recently I was in a lovely new home. Something was missing in the kitchen. There was no clutter, no signs of real living. Finally, I noticed all those little doors and hope was born anew.
I asked, “May I open this door?”
Permission granted. That's when I found a treasure…an old toaster with crumbs all over it. This kitchen was real. It was just all on the inside.
I got to thinking (led by the Master Teacher) only that which is on the inside of us is real and comfortable and worth making a fuss over.
He led me to understand this truth: there is no show going on in His classroom, only teaching.
Because of this new information I asked, “May I open Your door?”
When I walked into his classroom I found an overlooked road; a delicate road; a fenceless road. It was a road where you can tire and even nap for a short while. The focus is on being and not doing.
The word's classroom is not so kind and understanding is it? In real life lessons we must be dynamic and profane; spectacular and perceptive; brilliant and overwhelming!
The end result is nothing less than a weary traveler proceeding down a never-ending fuss focus road. On this road I always have to stand tall and straight when I may feel frail and weak.
As I listened to the lesson taught by this Master Teacher I finally realized who He was…”If the Son therefore shall made you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV
May we pray: “Father, teach us and free us to be all the would have us to be in the inner most part of our being. May we be “fussers” of only which is pleasing to you? May our faith be as real as an old toaster surrounded by the daily use of daily crumbs. Thank you for teaching us these truths today. Amen…so be it.”
