Yet still be content like the Bible requires?
Does saving one cause the other to be spent?
Is it possible to be ambitiously content?
A trite contradiction, to have some of each?
Should we strive for the goals it takes work to reach?
Are we way too ambitious, or far too content?
Should we keep pushing forward, or simply relent?
Does being content mean you don’t have a dream?
Should we ever stop striving to build self-esteem?
Does showing ambition mean win-at-all-cost?
Should we simply accept it whenever we’ve lost?
Embrace our ambition, or nurture content,
do we know what it is that God really meant?
Should we somehow believe that God might be confused?
Does this awkward dilemma leave you somewhat amused?
Could the truth be, God wants us ambitious in ways,
that follow His calling, and bring forth His praise?
Could it be that He wants us content to have tried,
when we’ve given our best, we should be satisfied?
