there were joys but also some heartaches?
Youthful or aged, at some time in the end,
we all encounter some very bad breaks.
Can you recall a most rejecting fall,
when standing very last in the queue?
Hoping your talents appealed to them all
and neither captain had chosen you.
Has it come back to your mind, all of the times,
you disappointed others as teammate?
Striking out, missing goals, these were the crimes,
and sent off to the bench was your fate.
Did it come about, in the office of clout,
when co-workers no longer esteemed you?
It´s statistically said, they’ll all vote you out
even if you were most likely valued.
Have you heard them say, in your chapel one day,
your services are no longer needed?
You feel drifted ashore as a castaway,
but seek treasure as God’s interceding.
Have you asked, why me, and did they not see,
that they had a most valuable player?
Yet they didn’t know, that your loyalty
is passed on from our Master surveyor.
Have you ever thought, with a price you were bought,
and our Lord´s always thinking of you?
It’s His ultimate sacrifice on the cross.
He has risen and He’ll see you through.
Do you now realize, there’s a crown and a prize,
for people voted off of the land?
Jesus our Lord, was mocked and despised,
now in glory at the Father’s right hand.
So will you rise above, and pursue love,
knowing you’ve got many gifts to render?
Be sure in your heart, when push comes to shove,
Our Lord is your number one defender!

God bless~
I liked the thoughts you were bringing to our minds. We are not all the same. We are not "gifted" by God with the same talents, abilities, interests, physical strengths and so on.
We don't always have parents, teachers, coaches and especially friends who accept us and how God made us. This can produce self consciousness, self criticism. Peace can bloom in our hearts when we find out who we are in Christ Jesus.
Good writing.
This poem teaches that we too can be that stone; rejected by the world and yet a living and loved stone in the Kingdom of God.
A good encouraging message.
Blessings.
