when I think back on things, I’ve held dear.
Diff’rent times I’m thankful for,
reflecting on what’s no more.
Reminding myself of how far I’ve come,
before I came to know Jesus, Your Son.
Being reborn into Your Kingdom was a thrill,
now I’m forever indebted to do Your will.
My love for Him grew from there,
thankful that my sin He did bear.
Rememb’ring that day; how wonderful I felt;
when I was delivered from the jaws of hell!
All the trials that You’ve brought me through,
now I know I was lost without You.
I’m thankful for the home I have,
though others may just see a shack.
So thankful for the food I’ve been given,
that I can continue in giving it.
It’s so sad that the world today,
refuses to see things Your way.
They’re being engulfed in their own desires,
that they’ve placed their beliefs into the fire!
We need to be thankful for what we don’t see,
even when there are times, we may disagree.
There’s always something to be thankful for,
think of one before you walk out your door!
