God created me
in my mother's womb
with such love and care
My home was with God
and in God
Then at the right time
I was born
God welcomed me into the world
God celebrated and knew
it was good, very good!
Such joy on that day!
I started to explore
the world, one step
at a time
I found I could do many things
I learned to walk
I could even hold
a glass of water!
So many wonders my body could do!
God was smiling and loving me
Laughing at my little
slips and falls
Celebrating my achievements
At school I was re-introduced to God
I felt at home again
This joy of being united
made me feel like dancing
I went to church
and learned about
Jesus and the faithful
people who loved him
As I was getting older
I began to have doubts
I was being sexualy abused
and experienced many kinds of abuse
I lost faith in God and myself
I no longer felt loved or joy
I felt violated and the pain
was to much to bare
When I was at my lowest point
I knew I needed a purpose,
and questioned what I believed
I remembered where I was at home
I remembered Jesus
and asked him to forgive my sins
The love Jesus showed me
words can not express!
I had come home!
I had a yearning
a deep yearning
to follow Jesus
Becoming involved in church
Going to workshops
Praying daily, and
loving Jesus more each day
I wanted to touch others
I wanted to give away
the gifts given to me
So, I started writing
What a joy!
As I get older
I have much to learn
and want to love
Jesus and people deeply
One day,it will be the
end of my life on earth
But it will be a
begining of a new life
It will be going back home
where I started
Not in my mother's womb
but home with God for eternity!
