When I am weary and would rather sob.
I will think on your goodness
Instead of complain and I will thank you for the good times.
What good times a dark thought lingered my mind
Have you looked at yourself lately?
You have been foolish; waiting for God’s timing
Ha! You are the laughing stock of all your friends.
I choose to think on what is true and lovely
Casting down imaginations that pull me down.
God you have been truly faithful
I have the privilege to be called your child.
I can stroll along the park on a spring day
In awe of how the clouds float in the bright blue sky
And feel the crisp breeze blow against my face.
And hear the birds chirping sounds.
Yes I will sing and give you praise
You are my friend and my hero.
You are my knight in shining armour
So I will rejoice in you.
