And diamond rings
Love they say
Doesn’t cost a thing
Fastidious words
Meaningful still
Tell that to Linda
And get a feel
Of a woman bent
On living a life
A life underlined
By shades of strife
Strife for all
That vanity says
She is the queen
Of –live for the day.
In her eyes
Ambition glows
Let her cry
And money flows
Men of assortment
Have come and gone
“Heaven forbid”
She can’t be alone
After all
She is just a lady
Yes indeed
A “prosperous” lady
With no intent
To judge at all
I fear that Linda
Is low on soul
She cares much
For what’s on earth
At the expense
Of her depth in faith
And as her friend
It is my place
To share with her
The love and grace
That comes from Him
Who knows it all
Forgives it all
And rinses our souls
He who defines
Optimum happiness
He who grants
Ultimate success
He who will show her
Where to invest
For spiritual gains
And heavenly quests
Because with Linda
I see my future
I lay my desires
With Christ my teacher
That he may lead
The way for us
As we seek to groom
A love that lasts.
