Who is included in their growing audience? It would probably surprise us if we knew. Adolescents with impressionable minds find access to x rated offerings. Men and women of all ages keep the industry profitable. To some it is likely occasional sampling out of curiosity. To others it is a life long addiction, with little hope of escape.
How does a person become involved? Some are attracted out of feelings of loneliness. Some are simply bored and looking for excitement. Others are drawn in by companions, like a fly to a spider’s web! Satan, the deceiver tells people it is harmless entertainment!
Where did it all begin? It was first experienced in a most unlikely place, in a perfect environment, in the Garden of Eden! Eve was the first participant in adult entertainment and its consequences. “So when the woman SAW that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the EYES, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate,
(Genesis 3:6 NKJ).” Eve looked too long and lusted for forbidden fruit! The tree was not evil; eating what God commanded not to be eaten was the willful sin. A few minutes of selfish pleasure resulted in spiritual death!
As adults we are expected to make wise mature choices. God has blessed us with appetites which are not sinful. Sin is born when we try to satisfy those appetites outside of God’s perfect plan. Our decisions influence coming generations. God wants us to have fulfillment and lasting joy. Adult entertainment leaves people hungering for more and can never satisfy. “The show must NOT go on!”

It's a shame that adult entertainment implies sinful activities, when wholesome, healthy, decent, and moral events abound also.
As you wrote, "self-gratification and lust drives
the most sales. May we as adults make wiser and more mature choices."
Good show!
