It is amazing, isn't it, to realize how many views a family can have of the same parents and childhood! You shared some good memories of the dad you knew and loved.

Thanks for these snapshots of your father.

In the sentence He let my brothers, sisters and I get a head start on him.., the "I" should be "me". Sorry, just the grammar nerd in me acting up again. You can tell whether to use "I" or "me" by taking the other people out of the sentence: He let...me...get a head start on him.
