Am I willing to react to the situation with unconditional love and express total compassion?
Am I willing to forgive and forget the hurtful acts of cruelty without passing judgment?
Am I willing to help someone in the mist of a crowd that glories in ignorance?
Am I willing to give clothes to someone without expecting anything in return?
Am I willing to be a blessing to the very people that envy me?
Am I willing to be all that I can be even when society would prefer that I be a "people-pleaser" for the sake of their reputation?
I do not know about you, but when I think about the word "willingness", a scripture comes to mind—let he that has no sin, cast the first stone.
To some people, this may not seem to fit with the topic, but let me ask you this question; what are you willing to give up for your brother or sister in Christ?
Or –
Are you going to—?
Allow selfishness to rule
Have a nasty attitude
Utter deceitful words
Deny ever seeing their need
I do not know about you, but I find myself asking the question what can I do (today) to make God smile.
