Previous Challenge Entry (Level 1 – Beginner)
Topic: Pen and Paper (07/17/14)
Give me the white lined paper, with the wide ruled spacing. I write at a slant. Slanting up and I imagine my words ascending to great literary relevance; other times, slanting down, to despair and judgment. Often the words just float in the middle of the space as if the blue ruled line was the skyscape and my words were hanging in the troposphere, lofty words.

I’ll need a pen, too. Do you have pens? Dark blue, not a ball point, the barrel is too thin. I need to grip a pen with some girth. You know, like the chubby pencils we use when we learn how to hold a pencil and make marks on a page. Oh, and the pen should click. You know, click to retract the ink point; click again to expose it? I need something to do when I get nervous or can’t think of what to write. Clicking the pen helps me think, or at least makes me think I’m thinking of what to write.

I plan to write a lot so you better give me two packs of paper. You know when the ideas start to formulate, the words will flow from my brain, make a quick detour through my heart, then travel down my arm and connect through my hand right on to the paper; in cursive.

It will be an amazing story. It’s all in my head. My mind has been thinking about this story for years. Would you like to read it when it’s finished? I’d love to get your opinion. I hope to publish soon. Yes, now is the time to put it on paper.

What’s that you say? You don’t sell paper. No pens? Just electronics. How ever will I write my story? I really would have loved for you to read it.

Spoof is not the right terminology but this seemed to be making light fun of something serious.

Just an enjoyable write on the topic.

I didn't note any grammar or other areas to note as I was too engrossed in just reading something fun.

Is this your usual style of writing? Keep it up when you can find the right topics.

Ah yes, cursive writing, with pen and paper seem to be going the way of the dinosaur these days. But there is just something about the connection between the mechanics of putting pen to paper, which helps to draw out the thoughts. For those of us, that is, who began writing that way. Thank you for the smile.
