They came on wings of fire
hot from the forgers vast furnace
they flew invisible
yet impacting all whose path they crossed.
Set by divine appointment
they came to those whose need was greatest
touching, lifting , healing, putting back together, bringing life
where deaths clutches reached to take.
Death, whose prowling search for signs of weakness
was broken by their flights of grace.
They knew not why they came,
yet they did their Master’s bidding without quarrel.
They felt immense joy at being asked,
at being so integral to life outside their normal world.
They flew on in vast array,
offering themselves selflessly
and with ancient knowledge,
and they caused change.
The paradox being that the change was predestined to occur,
still they carried change on their wings.
The space time continuum meant nothing to them,
they crossed through and between without consideration or effort.
And to say that the work they did was needful
would be a disservice to ones so integral to the Father’s plan,
for their work was multiplied and the result
paid eternal divideds.
