Close your eyes. Imagine the perfect world God created, a world with a song in its mouth, a world where birds sind, bells ring, the wind whistles and the leaves rustle all together creating the sound of music.
Now Imagine a world without a tune. Try to imagine a movie without background music, no instruments, no whistling, no humming, no tune. I just tried to paint such a world and it's very dark, it's very boring and very sad, painted with the ink of pain and tears.
Isn't God amazing? When he gave us the gift of music, he seemed to have given each and everyone of us a small package perfect for each individual. He made sure there is something for everyone, jazz, pop, rock, country...Oh yes, country.

Listening to country music has the power to take me back in time. It makes me think of back when. My father loved and still loves country music. As a child I used to sit with him and allow the "honky tonk" to envelope me.
Cross-legged, I would quietly listen to the stories that became so real in my mind. My heart would cry with the broken hearted, laugh with the joyful and smile with Kenny Rogers. I carried that love of country music with me into my future which is now my now.

Next to Gospel music, country music was like a dear friend that God gave me to help me express and channel my emotions, to inspire me,especially when i'm writing and even studying.

I wholeheartedly thank God for this language we all speak and understand, this point we all seem to aggree at, this love we all share, this gift we were all given. God loves us so much that he chose to give us something to shoothe our wounded hearts,calm our troubled souls, to give meaning to our lives and if need be, to save a life. God was so loving enough to share with us, this language that angels speak.

If music is not one of the greatest gifts God has given us, I don’t know what is...

I knew a talented country western singer once who definitely shared your joy in the gift of music: "You don't have enough music in your lfe," he would say to almost every one he knew. Then he would hand over one of his tapes.
