Never did I once start to think one of them was a which.
I had been taught to act with abundance of care,
Hoping the head office wouldn’t find me in their.
While in grade two in a large class full of small brutes,
My choice of a career began to dig strong and firm routes.
Being miles in front of the rest of the students,
Gave me the chance to read out loud words that barely made cents.
I knew I was destined for the instructor’s chair,
When at thirteen I wrote my first essay from a blank stair.
Grammar, spelling, even content were loads of fun,
I could write on a theme in a strict style second to nun.
When the time came for me to trek from my domain,
Tears of sorrow came from my eyes like cold fall reign.
I was off to explore bends in future’s broad lane,
Although saying goodbye to my dear folks caused me much pane.
As I sat in place to learn as student once more,
The thought came to wonder what use words were created four.
We read about poets, writers, thinkers of pun,
To read all this literature made me ponder life under the son.
A tall teacher to young minds God made me to be,
He made me to impart knowledge of the sky and the see,
To give to young minds sharp skills to where life would lead,
I hoped to give to them the skills they would come to so knead.
So the day came when the chalk was handed to me,
Then I began what I had known I was destined to bee.
I thought each boy and girl would have a keen, set head,
I could just teach knowledge to them like a big book well-red.
I could teach them how to add and how not to fight,
Of course giving them examples of the best way to right.
But the students soon taught me through some gruelling days,
That they could do some naughty things that caused my hair to rays.
It took me lots of years and many dumb mistakes,
To find teaching is a work of art and it has heart-brakes.
I want students who will learn what they were made for,
And I hope that they will discover life is not a boar.
