“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36)
On May 26th, the United States remembered those that had fallen for freedom. Throughout the history of this country, men and women have laid down their lives for a country and its people.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the greatest victor of all times in that He laid down His life for all mankind for the same reason – for freedom. People of all nationalities can be called free men and women when they take the banner of Jesus Christ and live with and for Him for all eternity.
Taking Jesus as yours represents an ultimate sacrifice. Jesus died so every human being could be free in every corner of the world. We should not take lightly what Jesus did for each individual. On Memorial Day, we not only remember loved ones that laid down their lives but we remember the King of Kings and Lord of Lords that gave everything so we could be free men and women.
PRAYER
Thank you Father, for your Son, and the giving of His life for all. Let every person and every tribe understand the seriousness of Jesus’ achievement for spiritual freedom. Amen.
