Encouragement
Is it better to have love and loss?
Than to not have loved at all?
I ask this question.
Love is painful
For those you love can cause deep wounds
That bruise you inner being
I think about the life of Jesus
He love us so, that he gave his life on the Cross
He bore more pain than any of us will ever know
Yet, those he died for scorned him, spit at him and cursed him
Corinthians’ 13th states: “Love is the greatest gift of all”
Proverbs 10:12 states: “ Hate stirreth up strife, but Love covers a multitude of sins.”
Love can change the heart of a man or woman
It can touch one’s soul
Yet it still brings so much Pain
Through my years I have been in love a few times
I have discovered that love is very painful in deed
There are times when it feels great,
There are other times when you want to crawl up into a ball and die
Jesus tells us to love our enemies, to bless those that curse us
To turn the other cheek.
The world tells us to hate our enemies
To fight to the death, take no prisoners
The world says hate, Jesus says love
I have felt the pain of a love one rejecting me
Pain that pierced my heart and my soul
My pain could never compare to the pain
That Jesus Bore on the Cross that day
Nails in his hands and feet
Whipped beyond recognition
Bruised for our iniquities and our Sins
Jesus would say it is better to have loved the world
And Gained Eternal Life for all those whose believe
Than to never have loved and Loss.
Therefore my answer to the question is
Although Love is painful, It is better to have love and loss,
Than too not loved at all.
With love there is no loss. Though love we grow and discover
the boundaries of who God created us to be.
We become stronger and wiser.
No pain, No growth.
I would rather love than go through life only for myself,
To me that would be the greatest loss.
