I woke up this morning to a brand new day.
I知 thankful for today, for tomorrow isn稚 promised.
I opened my eyes.
I知 thankful that I could see, for I could have been blind.
Yet even, if I was blind,
I would hope and pray that I would be thankful, because I was alive.
I stepped out of my bed unto a warm floor.
I知 thankful that I could move my body and get out of bed.
For I could have been bed ridden, or have no use of my legs and feet.
Yet even if that were so,
I would hope and pray that I would be thankful, because I was alive.
I知 thankful for the warmth of the floor, because I have heat.
For I could have been out in the cold with no place to lay my head.
I quickly took a shower and got dressed for work.
I知 thankful for the water, clothes to wear, and employment to go to.
For I could have no water, no clothes and no employment.
I woke my children up and asked them to get ready for school.
I知 thankful that my children were at home and not in the streets.
For they could have been rebelling, a run away, or in juvenile home.
I ran to the refrigerator to fix lunch for the children and myself.
I知 thankful that there was food to eat.
For I could have been homeless wondering what my next meal would be.
I知 thankful for life itself with all its ups and downs.
For it means that I知 alive with a story to tell.
A story of how fortune we truly are to live in the United States.
For we could live in an another place, where there is no food, no water,No employment, infested with diseases, fear, poverty and lost of hope.
I知 thankful for Peace, Faith, Love and Hope.
For with Peace I can make it through any situation.
Faith will carry me when I think I can稚 carry myself.
Love never fails.
Hope sustains.
I知 thankful for Jesus who carried all my sins.
For I know I will live with him throughout eternity.
I知 thankful for Eternal Life.
