A man's troubles can begin with something minor, and then something else happens which is worse than the last, and so on. Before you know it, he's encountered a series of events with no time to regroup or recuperate in between.
Pressures from a series of unceasing troubles can make you lose your composure, your mind, your manners and your professionalism. Some men may be able to hold back their emotions when they are going through severe troubles, but like lava in the mouth of a volcano held back in silence for years, until the pressure within it becomes too hot to contain, it will soon erupt in a loud explosion.
You may say you would never allow troubles to cause you to lose control, but I say to you, a man who goes through a series of non-stop troubles, to finally be left with nothing - no family, no fortune, no friends, no possession, and gradually your health, will be pressured into pushing out thoughts he tried to suppress within himself, only to be overcome by them.
His courage is broken down and swept away like a withering leaf, and now he knows just how frail and weak he really is - "LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is, that I may know how frail I am" (Psalms 39:4).
When you have been picked apart from a series of ongoing troubles, with no time to regroup or recuperate, you will lose control and utter things out of your mouth that will be heard by God. Consider the series of troubles Job, a perfect and upright man had gone through (Job 1:1). It is hard to keep the mind, body and soul equally balanced with one another.
If you are going through a series of circumstances with no time to regroup or recuperate, talk to God about it. Ask Him for His help to suppress and conquer the urge to utter things from your mouth you may later regret, and for patience to hold your peace, and wait for his deliverance while he works things out for your good. There are hidden things in every man's heart that can be forced to spring up through the soul during times of painful suffering, but it is better to keep your hands over your mouth, when God's hand is on your back.
