1 Chronicles 28:9 "For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him."
if we can see all that we do in this world, don't you think God can as well? doctors, surgeons, and nurses have seen hearts many times before. God also sees the heart.
it's amazing how much God knows. The fact that God knows all that we do, say and think should cause us to live more carefully don't you think? All the good and bad everyday is seen by God.
God knows us so much that he can describe in highly descriptive detail of everything about us. People may know things about us, but no one knows every thought we have. No one even knows every action we will take tomorrow, but God.
There was a time where i was getting ready one day, and i was on my way out. All i needed left was my phone, and i didn't know where i left it. 5 minutes passed, then 10, then 15, then 20, and still couldn't find it. i remembered going to the store earlier that day so i looked in my car and still nothing. Flipped my room inside out, still nothing. i checked absolutely everywhere. I called it several times, then I remembered I had it on silent. just prefect right. Then i sat on the couch to rest because i began to sweat after all that seeking. then i asked God, "help me find my phone." As i got up, i picked up my shorts and i stopped for a moment and then nodded my head. I felt my phone on the right side of my back pocket. How embarrassing. I told my mom and she just laughed.
God is closer than we may think. if we seek him, we will find him. It could be that we are looking in the wrong places. It could be that we are doing things in our own way. it's interesting that after the moment i asked God for help, i found my phone seconds later. The question is not, "will God help?" but, "will we depend on God to help?"
are we looking right?
